It's a New Day
Women's Cancer Survivor Retreats
Held two times per year, the "it's a New Day" retreats offer women who have survived cancer a chance to celebrate life and to fin comfort, strength and restoration. Retreats are designed to assist women who have completed their cancer treatments with an opportunity to understand their new life as a survivor.
Retreats include sessions with experts spanning a variety of areas: yoga, massage, nutrition, therapy, dance, journaling and social work, as well as sessions with doctors and health care professionals through the Henry Ford Cancer Institute. Survivors will have the opportunity to share their experiences, learn from others and build relationships. Messaging will center on self-reliance, the power of love, peace and positive energy, and embracing life changes.
Retreats are held at the serene and peaceful Emrich Retreat Center on 26 acres in rural Brighton, Michigan.
A donation of $35 is appreciated and includes two-nights lodging and all meals and activities. (Transportation is not provided.)
Space is limited.
